Let’s make games together!

Video games might be the closest thing we have to actual magic!
They are windows into worlds where we can safely experiment with being someone else, allow us to make difficult decisions and learn from them, and can sneakily get us to broaden our horizons. And occasionally they are even fun!

I graduated from Mediadesign Hochschule Düsseldorf in 2022 but already started working in the video games industry as an intern and working student before I finished my degree. My primary work so far has been system design with a focus on balancing and scripting my own prototypes for quick iteration speeds.

Below you can find a list of my previous work. You can learn more about what I did on those projects specifically by clicking on them.

Professional Experience

The long awaited continuation of the Dawn of War franchise. I started working on this project in 2022 and went through all phases of production with it.

Together with other departments, designers and our creative director I designed, implemented and balanced a large number of systems for the main game such as everything involving base building for example.

I was also largely responsible for adapting the Last Stand mode from DoW2 into something that functions well within the framework of DoW4. This was a really fun challenge, since we were largely basing our game on the original Dawn of War which is fundamentally different to DoW2.

After joining KING Art in 2021 I started working on the Iron Harvest DLC “Operation Eagle”.

Some of my responsibilities on this project were supporting the game-pad controls, balancing the handicap challenges for individual maps and supporting the content for the meta-progression.

Apart from research into how competitors did game-pad controls for RTS and fine tuning aspects of these alternative control schemes, this meant rigorous play testing and play test evaluation.
